|Photo taken one hour after surgery on 5/3/2017|
I said to the vet, we don't want to put him under to do the surgery, Bob says if his dad was alive he would just hold him down and cut it off... The vet said, I can do that. And I will do that. He came back with scissors, put deadening drops in Jakes eye, two assistants held his head, while I tried not to cry, and snip snip snip and it was gone. He had his annual with bloodwork and all his shots and surgery and was done in 15 minutes.
The vet said Jake is amazing. he said the first snip he did not know what was coming, but the 2nd and 3rd he did and he never even flinched. It gone and will grow back in a year or 2 but vet said, if it grows back I will snip it again.... that was the first miracle. the 2nd was the fact he charged us NOTHING. it was included in the annual exam/shots..... and Jake is so happy, he can see and no big marble hanging out of his eye. It is not a malignant tumor but a common one in older dogs.
